A My Home COO “Back to Balance” Series Post

The Problem

Most weeks start in chaos not because we’re unprepared but because everything is scattered. The grocery list is in your head, the appointments are buried in emails, and the laundry pile is screaming louder than your calendar.

When everything lives in different places, nothing feels under control.

That’s why I created the Weekly Command Center — a one-page reset tool to bring it all together.

What Is the Weekly Command Center?

Think of it as your household dashboard. Just like a COO wouldn’t run a business without a clear agenda, you don’t need to run your home on memory alone.

The Command Center is a single-page worksheet that helps you:

✔ See your week at a glance

✔ Capture priorities and deadlines

✔ Plan meals without the stress

✔ Track your health and household needs

✔ Note what to buy before it’s urgent

It’s not fancy. It’s not overwhelming. It’s the opposite: one calm place to clear your head and map your week.

How to Use It in 15 Minutes or Less

1. Start with the calendar.

Add all key appointments, practices, deadlines, and commitments. If it’s not written down, it doesn’t exist.

2. Capture your top three priorities.

Not 20 things. Just the 3 items that must happen this week. (Work and home both count.)

3. Plan meals at a high level.

This isn’t a recipe book. It’s a rhythm: taco night, sheet pan night, leftovers. Enough to cut the “what’s for dinner?” stress.

4. Delegate or share the load.

Use the delegation list to assign tasks: kids pack lunches, partner handles pickup, cleaning service on Thursday.

5. Jot down health + personal resets.

Hydration, workouts, sleep, or downtime. If it matters to your well-being, it belongs here.

By the time you’re done, your week is on paper — not swirling in your head.

Why It Works

The Weekly Command Center is about leadership, not perfection. Just like in business, structure doesn’t make life rigid, it makes it lighter.

When you have one page that holds the essentials, you save energy for what actually matters: the people in your home.
