Burnout isn’t just a personal issue.. it’s a performance issue.
Especially for women and working parents managing the invisible workload at home.
Beyond their day jobs, many employees are running what amounts to a second shift: coordinating logistics, schedules, meals, home operations, and family needs.
This invisible labor disproportionately impacts women, and it shows up at work through cognitive overload, reduced bandwidth, and quiet disengagement.
Organizations feel it too.. in productivity dips, higher turnover risk, stalled advancement, and employees who look “fine” but are running on fumes.
My Home COO brings executive-level systems into life outside of work so employees can thrive inside work.
About Kara
Kara Miller is the founder of My Home COO and a former corporate executive with nearly 25 years at Dell Technologies, including roles as Chief of Staff and Executive Strategy & Operations leader supporting a $350M+, 3,000-person organization.
She holds an MBA from UT Austin's McCombs School of Business and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. She served on the board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and South Texas, and as National Program Lead for Dell Women in Action's STEM partnership with Girl Scouts USA.
Kara speaks from the intersection of operational expertise and lived experience. Her sessions are not motivational. They are operational: grounded in real methodology, immediately applicable, and built to change how people think about the workload they carry outside of work.
“Kara is a true triple threat — equally gifted in leadership, philanthropy, and family life. She’s a magnet for people and causes, leads with heart and intelligence, and consistently elevates those around her.”
